This summer, Dr Sally Garden revisited the Wighton Heritage Centre, Dundee, to give an informal lunchtime talk and donate copies of her album Song of the Silent North to support Friends of Wighton fundraising.

She also gave a paper at the recent day-conference of the Scottish Society for Northern Studies. The conference, themed 'Aberdeen, Scandinavia and the Baltic' was held in assocation with the Centre for Scandinavian Studies, University of Aberdeen, where she is currently an Honorary Research Fellow.
